This a first shot of the blogging world…so what to say? Knitting is a passion that is growing and is moving beyond Ravelry.com to include now the written world.
Whats on the needles? Well a sock that has been there for about three months but is in the last throngs of its needle life, I just need to get around to finishing the last few rounds. The pattern is Simply Ginny by Anna Peck. The BF believes that they are another testament to my Harry Potter nerdness but there is the great feeling that I will never reach the level of him and his hobbies.
Next is a sweater that has been frogged one too many times. A Cardigan for Arwen by Kate Gilbert has been extremely hard for because it is my first sweater and the first cable project when I started. Now on the fourth attempt it was quickly ended because I can not read a chart to save my life sometimes. Since being relatively new to the world of cables I was unaware of the rule that it depends on the row of the chart because it is read in a different direction. Before ravelry I simply thought that I was doing something wrong but I could not understand quite what the mistake was until a thread by someone asking about the direction of the pattern. So once again it will be taken apart in the next few days to begin the great quest for my first sweater once again.
Unfortunately writing has never been my element but this blog will start my attempt to keep a steady stream of writing that will be about one of my most enjoyable hobbies.
